Pelé Green Energy, a partner of Power Africa, co-developed this wind power project with Enel and holds a 30% interest in the project. Power Africa provided financial and legal advisory support to the South Africa Independent Power Producer Office regarding the project guarantee and possible financing options. In total, the latest round of Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Program projects represent a production capacity of more than 2,300 MW, representing a total investment of $5 billion that will create 61,000 jobs in South Africa.
